Raw Wheat Bran

Commonly called wheat middlings in the flour industry; this is the portion of the wheat that is sifted out of our sifted flour. It is just as it came from the mill, it has not been further processed into it's component parts of wheat bran, wheat germ and a small amount of starch. While the advantage of stone milling flour is to incorporate more of the healthy bran and germ into the flour, whole wheat flour can be overwhelming to many recipes. This is the part of the wheat berry that contains much of the fiber, protein, vitamins and minerals. Can be used as an ingredient in granola, specialty breads, etc. Certified organic.
